Thanks, Pilar. I have been unhealthily driven all my life. This time of year is normally meltdown time but this year I hit the wall three weeks ago. It feels so good to scale back and stop *trying* so hard. And I have taken up crochet, which I am loving!
I so get that, Ros. And right on. Simple, manual, and creative tasks like crocheting are an excellent form of Preemptive Repair. So is EFT, which I know you use and love. Interesting aside: We did an article on EFT in Experience Life magazine way back in 2002, before it became popularized as "tapping." I interviewed Gary Craig, the guy who started it all, and I found the methodology fascinating — but at the time, it was considered rather weird. That was more than twenty years ago, and I know a great many folks are still discovering it. If you wanna see the vintage article ... https://experiencelife.lifetime.life/article/instant-healing/
How fascinating! It was definitely considered very fringe then. I was led to Gary Craig’s website by Dr Mercola in 2007, when I was desperately hunting for something that might help my husband’s CFS. He didn’t take to it, but it became my daily go-to. It was definitely considered weird at even then, 5 years after your article. Thanks for the link!
Oh Pilar! This is one fantastic article!! I have been so upset with myself for jumping back into life to quick and causing horrible results to my healing eyes. The things I have learned through HDU are helping me realize how much easier it has been to scale back, shut off social platforms like Facebook and simply let my eyes rest! Thank you for the reminder to be nice to myself!! Mistakes happen, but if we learn from them then that is the greatest success of all! May your holiday be Merry and Bright! Lots of hugs and love to you and your family!!❤️🎄❤️
Oh my goodness Rosie, thank you so much. I'm gonna share this note with others in hopes that it inspires them to be similarly gentle with themselves. We're all learning as we go here in the Unhealthy Default Reality.

You bet! I specialise in fringe (otherwise known as being a little ahead of your time). #healthydeviant 😁😇😂
